Windows Device/Camera Detected Dock Fix

Do you see a nag screen like the one below each time you dock your iPhone? I did until I did some simple research and found out how to fix it. This issue might be due to my Canon software, but I suspect it is just Windows XP trying to be smarter than it actually is. Besides, I'm not exactly the only person with Windows XP,  Canon software, and an iPhone...if that is the combination that causes the annoyance.

The issue with this screen is that unlike most Windows "device detected" screens, this one seems to think the iPhone is a camera (which is a stretch!) and doesn't give you a stop-nagging-me option.

But the fix is easy! Here are the steps:

1) Connect your iPhone

2) Click on "My Computer" either on your desktop or through Windows Explorer.

3) RIGHT-Click on "Apple iPhone" to get the properties window

4) Click on the "Events" tab, select "Take no Action"

5) Click "Apply" and exit. Done!
